Court fixes hearing in Sh106.8 million fraud case against Jonathan Ngenga
A Nairobi court has set June 15 and 17, 2026, for the hearing of a Sh106.8 million fraud case involving businessman Jonathan Ngenga Ndisya and his co-accused Peter Kamau.
The matter is before Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina at the Milimani Law Courts. Both men face multiple charges linked to an alleged scheme to defraud a private company.
When the case was mentioned on Monday, March 2, Ngenga requested more time, explaining that his lawyer was unable to attend court due to an urgent matter that required him to travel upcountry.

The court granted the request and fixed the hearing dates for mid-June. The case had previously been adjourned on February 20, 2026, after Ngenga’s lawyer failed to appear, before being mentioned virtually earlier this month.
Ngenga, director of Joncil Enterprises, and Kamau, an accountant at Agro Irrigation and Pump Services Limited, are accused of defrauding the latter of Sh106,822,690 between July 2018 and March 2020.
Prosecutors claim the duo falsely represented that payments had been made by Joncil Enterprises for goods supplied.
Ngenga faces an additional charge of obtaining money by false pretences, with authorities alleging he misrepresented that the funds were deposited into the company’s account.
Kamau is separately charged with stealing Sh4,777,094 while at Agro Irrigation and Pump Services, and Sh3,500,000 from Desire Flora (K) Limited during his tenure.
He is also accused of falsifying company records to show that Joncil Enterprises had settled the disputed Sh106.8 million payment.
The prosecution maintains that the charges include conspiracy to defraud, obtaining money by false pretences, and fraudulent false accounting.
The case, first filed in 2020, is expected to move into the evidentiary stage in June when the prosecution begins presenting witnesses and documents
