Kisumu city manager misses court again over KCSE forgery charges,cites illness

Kisumu City Manager Abala Wanga has failed to appear before Milimani Anti-Corruption Court for the second time, citing illness as the reason for his absence. Abala was scheduled to respond to allegations of forging a KCSE certificate on February 6, 2026, but did not attend. His lawyers informed the court that he was undergoing surgery at the time. On Monday, March 2, 2026, appearing before Chief Magistrate Harrison Barasa, the defence requested an additional 30 days to allow the city manager to recover fully and appear in court. “Your Honour, our client is still unwell. We request 30 more days for him to regain his health and be able to attend court,” said Abala’s lawyers. Iran guarantees safe exit for kenyans amid regional tensions

 The Iranian Ambassador to Kenya, Ali Gholampour, has reassured that Kenyans in Iran can leave safely through special “no‑land exit corridors,” amid rising regional tensions following recent US and Israeli strikes on Iranian territory. Iran assures Kenya: missiles won’t reach Nairobi

Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, Iran’s Ambassador to Kenya, Ali Gholampour, has reassured Nairobi that the country is safe from Iranian missiles. Speaking on Monday,March 2,2026, Gholampour explained that Iran’s missile capability has been deliberately limited to a maximum range of 2,000 kilometres. “Our missiles will not reach Kenyan territory. This is a clear message that we do not intend to involve other nations in this conflict,” he said.
