Gholampour added that the limitation underscores Tehran’s peaceful and defensive stance.
“The range of our missiles is intentionally capped at around 2,000 kilometres, reflecting our defensive and non-aggressive stance,” Gholampour emphasized.
Addressing concerns over Kenya hosting U.S. military facilities, including Camp Simba in Lamu, the ambassador said Iran has no plans to target the country.
For Kenyans currently in Iran, he confirmed that the embassy is assisting them to return home safely using designated exit routes.
While Kenya is not directly at risk, Gholampour acknowledged that the ongoing conflict could affect trade and economic activity due to the interconnected nature of global supply routes.
With these remarks, the Iranian envoy’s message is clear: Kenya remains safe, and there is no need for panic.
