The officials were summoned after petitioners accused government agencies of repeatedly failing to implement orders issued earlier by Justice Bahati Mwamuye directing the registration of the school under the Basic Education Act. Law Society of Kenya President Charles Kanjama, appearing for the first and second petitioners, told the court that the matter had previously come to court during which the respondents assured the court on each occasion that they would comply with the orders, but no meaningful progress had been made. High Court Rejects Rastafari Society's Bid to Allow Religious Use of Cannabis"Bhang'

The High Court has dismissed a petition by the Rastafari Society of Kenya (RSK) seeking to allow the religious use of cannabis, finding that the group failed to prove the drug is an essential practice of the Rastafari faith. Delivering the ruling on Wednesday at the Milimani High Court, Justice Bahati Mwamuye dismissed the amended petition filed by the Rastafari Society of Kenya and Wambua Mwendwa, alias Ras Prophet, against the Attorney General and the Kenya Law Reform Commission.  A court gravel. Lawyer Danstan Omari Demands Sh100 Million From TV47 After It Termed Him 'Self-Proclaimed Advocate'

High Court advocate Danstan Omari has threatened legal action against TV47, accusing the broadcaster of defaming him by describing him as a "self-proclaimed advocate" in a YouTube publication questioning his professional credentials. Through Wambui Shadrack & Associates Advocates, Omari has issued a demand letter to Cape Media Limited, the parent company of TV47, seeking Sh100 million in damages.
