Thousands of worshippers from across Kenya and beyond converged at Uhuru Park in Nairobi on Sunday for a major repentance and holiness crusade led by Prophet David Owuor of the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness.
The day-long gathering attracted senior church leaders from across Africa and Europe, including archbishops and bishops from Slovakia, Angola, South Sudan and South Africa, alongside political leaders, legal professionals and other dignitaries who joined believers for the live service centred on repentance, holiness and preparation for the coming of the Messiah.
The atmosphere at Uhuru Park was marked by worship, prayer and praise as thousands of faithful filled the historic grounds, with the service also being broadcast live to audiences in Kenya and around the world.

One of the visiting church leaders, Archbishop Michael Niswa, reflected on his journey in Kenya, saying he first came to the country as a volunteer missionary 40 years ago before meeting Prophet Owuor in 1985.
According to Archbishop Niswa, he initially did not fully understand the significance of the ministry before later coming to believe that Prophet Owuor was a servant sent by God.
«"Initially, I did not understand who this servant sent by the Lord was, but later I realised he was not an ordinary preacher. God Almighty was speaking to us," Archbishop Niswa told the congregation.»
Throughout the service, speakers from different countries shared messages encouraging believers to remain steadfast in their faith, embrace holiness and live lives of righteousness as they await the return of the Messiah.
Prophet Owuor later addressed the congregation with a sermon centred on repentance and salvation, urging Christians to turn away from sin and prepare spiritually for the coming of the Lord.
The crusade also drew a number of prominent legal professionals, including advocates Danstan Omari, Cliff Ombeta, Shadrack Wambui and Stanley Kinyanjui, as well as other invited guests who attended the service.
According to the organisers, the gathering also brought together worshippers from different parts of Kenya and abroad who travelled to Nairobi to participate in the prayers and worship.
The crusade is set to continue with worship, prayers, sermons and testimonies from local and international church leaders, with organisers saying the event will also feature testimonies from worshippers who say they have experienced healing from various illnesses, including individuals who claim they were healed of HIV.
According to the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness, more testimonies are expected to be shared as the service continues at Uhuru Park.
