"I Had Reached Stage Three HIV': Peter Oyan Journey From Diagnosis to Healing Testimony at Uhuru Park Crusade
Before a congregation of thousands gathered at Nairobi's Uhuru Park on July 12,2026,Peter Oyan stepped onto the podium and shared what he described as a life-changing journey from an HIV diagnosis in 2012 to what he believes was a miraculous healing through the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness.

His testimony being one of the defining moments of the day-long repentance and holiness crusade led by Prophet David Owuor.
The event attracted thousands of worshippers from across Kenya and beyond for a service centred on repentance, prayer, worship and preparation for the coming of the Messiah.

Among those in attendance were advocates Danstan Omari, Cliff Ombeta, Shadrack Wambui and Stanley Kinyanjui, who have been involved in legal proceedings relating to testimonies of alleged HIV healings associated with the patient Peter Oyan and Millicent Awino.
Addressing the gathering, Oyan recalled that his life took a turn on May 3, 2012, when he was diagnosed with HIV in Rumuruti after undergoing medical tests.

According to Oyan, his health continued to deteriorate until he was diagnosed with Stage Three HIV, leaving him physically weak and unable to carry out even the simplest daily tasks.
"I suffered greatly before I found God. Even going to the toilet was difficult. I had reached Stage Three HIV," Oyan told the congregation.

At the time, he said, he earned a living transporting charcoal using a bicycle and had little hope that his situation would improve.
It was during that period that he encountered members of the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness preaching repentance and sharing testimonies of people who claimed to have been healed from various illnesses, including HIV, through faith in Jesus Christ.
The message, Oyan said, inspired him to surrender his life to Christ and embrace the ministry's teachings.
From that moment, he told the congregation, his life gradually began to change, culminating in what he believes was his healing.
His testimony was among several presented during the crusade by worshippers who said they had experienced healing from HIV and other illnesses through prayer.
The congregation also heard from a medical doctor with nearly 28 years of experience in HIV care, who explained Kenya's HIV testing protocols.

The doctor said patients who initially test positive undergo confirmatory testing using different testing methods before results are released and treatment begins, adding that the process is designed to ensure the accuracy of every diagnosis before a patient is initiated on antiretroviral therapy.
Several other worshippers also addressed the gathering, sharing testimonies of what they described as miraculous healing from various illnesses, while others recounted witnessing people with physical disabilities regain their ability to walk during previous ministry gatherings.
The crusade concluded with prayers led by Prophet David Owuor, who urged believers to embrace repentance, holiness and righteousness as they prepare for the coming of the Messiah.
As thousands streamed out of Uhuru Park at the close of the service, Peter Oyan's testimony remained one of the day's most memorable moments, reflecting the ministry's continued emphasis on testimonies of faith, healing and spiritual transformation.
